So wird das nichts: Ich und mein Vordiplom

Da setze ich mich spät Abends nochmal hin, ein Fachbuch im Schoß, das ich diese Woche dringend noch komplett lesen muss, in der Hoffnung, dass ich in vier Wochen, wenn ich meinem Prof in der Vordiplomsprüfung gegenübersitze, noch was davon weiss. Mich innerlich auf schwere Kost vorbereitend, schlage ich das Buch (R. Mayer: Thinking, Problem Solving, Cognition) auf. Trockenes Thema, dickes Buch, ich bin müde, meine Augen brennen, alles super. Aber ich hab' ja nur noch ein paar Wochen Zeit, und irgendwann muss ich das ja lesen, und was tut man nicht alles. Also sage ich meinem inneren Schweinehund, was er mich mal kann, und beginne widerwillig zu lesen. Und es geht dann auch gleich richtig los. Seite fünf:

"Reitman (1965) has further analyzed four categories of problems according to how well the given and goal states are specified:

Well-defined given state and well-defined goal state: "How can you turn a sow's ear into a silk purse?" Note, however, that although the given state (sow's ear) and the goal state (silk purse) are clearly specified in this problem, there is a serious lack of possible ways to solve it.

Well-defined given state and poorly defined goal state: "How can you redesign a Cadillac El Dorado to get better gas mileage?" The given state, the automobile, is clearly designated, but what does "better gas mileage" mean exactly?

Poorly defined given state and well-defined goal state: "Explain the mechanisms responsible for sun spots." The goal, "sun spots," is clear, but the initial state that causes this goal is not.

Poorly defined given state and poorly defined goal state: "What is red and goes put-put?" The answer is "an outboard apple," and you can blame Reitman for this one."


... und jetzt sitze ich hier und kichere seit einer Viertelstunde vor mich hin, als wäre die Hirnblutung von vor drei Wochen wieder aufgebrochen. Gelesen krieg' ich heute jedenfalls nichts mehr.
